UPSI undergraduate drown at university lake
A 24-year-old Universiti Perguruan Sultan Idris (UPSI) undergraduate was found drowned in the university's lake here today.
Personnel from the Fire and Rescue Department fished out the remains of Muhammad Amirul Haqim Ishak at 8.10pm after receiving a distress call at 5.33pm.
A spokesman of the department said firemen had used open water surface rescue to search for the victim.
The remains of the victim, who hails from Pokok Sena, Kedah, was later handed over to police.
