Singapore singer Aliff Aziz fined $2,000 for stealing 2 mobile phones

Singaporean singer Aliff Aziz, who made a name for himself locally and across the causeway, has been fined $2,000 last Friday for stealing two mobile phones.

According to Berita Harian, 23-year-old Mohamad Aliff Aziz, had stolen a HTC One and a Samsung Note 1 belonging to a man Yong Kit Siong, both worth $800 each.

The offence was committed on May 24 at 12.01pm at Block 36 of Tanglin Halt Road together with an accomplice, identified as Muhammad Nurazlee Roselee.

If he fails to pay the fine, Aziz faces a jail term of 20 days. He could have been jailed for up to 3 years or fined, or both.

His mother mentioned that he was in Singapore on personal matters, and would return to Kuala Lumpur soon.

Prior to this, Aziz had disappeared from his filming location in KL, where he was shooting a drama.

According to mStar Online, Aliff Aziz said last month that he was not running away from anyone, was not hiding, and was also not facing any financial difficulty.

He had also deleted all his Instagram photos, because he wanted to turn over a new leaf as the “New Aliff”.
