US is no longer the fattest nation,Mexico has ousted the U.S.

“CBS This Morning” says Mexico has ousted the U.S. as the world’s fattest country according to a UN report.

The Toronto Sun says the report shows about 70% of Mexico’s population is overweight, while 33% are considered obese.

The Global Post reports as many as 70,000 people die from diabetes in Mexico every year, and about 400,000 Mexicans are diagnosed every year.

Mexico’s growing waistline is a direct effect of a rise in income and an increasingly urban lifestyle for most of the population.
