Psy will be attending the FMFA 2013 in Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia

Psy, the South Korean rapper behind global hit Gangnam Style, has been confirmed as part of the line-up for next year's Future Music Festival Asia.

Horse dance master PSY is coming to town! He will be performing at Future Music Festival Asia 2013 alongside other international acts including fun., The Prodigy and Rita Ora.

Organised by Future Entertainment Australia and Livescape Asia, the two-day event on March 15-16, is estimated to attract 40,000 fans.

Trance music is another pulling factor. March 15 will be dedicated to the 600th episode of international deejay Armin van Buuren’s A State Of Trance (ASOT600) radio mix show, as part of his A State Of Trance 600: The Expedition World Tour.

The show is one of six that will take place globally next year, with other top acts slated to join van Buuren on stage. An estimated 20 million people in 26 countries will tune in live to the event.

“Together with our counterparts at Future Entertainment Australia, we spent months trying to bring ASOT600 here and we can finally say it is happening,” says Livescape Asia director Iqbal Ameer. “It’s the first time ASOT  is shown live in Southeast Asia and we are so excited.”

Meanwhile, the second day will feature four big stages with performances by both international and local acts. The main stage will feature PSY, Rita Ora, fun., Bloc Party, Temper Trap, Rudimental, Stafford Brothers, Timmy Trumpet and

Tenzin. The second stage is where The Prodigy will be presenting its popular Warrior’s Dance Arena. Also watch performances by Feed Me, Kill The Noise, Zeds Dead and Borgore.

The line-up of performers for the third and fourth stages will be revealed soon. More acts will be announced for the first and second stages as well. Local performers will join in the line-up, to make  it even more spectacular.

Earlier this year, the Future Music Festival Asia thrilled crowds of over 25,000 and was dubbed the largest music festival to ever hit Southeast Asian shores.

It attracted over 7,000, with fans from Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, India and Europe. Next year, 10,000  are expected to come.

We are the only country to ever host Future Music Festival outside of Australia, where it originated. Future Music Festival Asia 2013 is also the official opening event for the F1 Grand Prix week.

Future Entertainment Australia director Jason Ayoubi says: “We are taking a big step to come to Malaysia. We have set a benchmark with this year’s event. We want to improve every year, so next year, the event is bigger and will blow fans’ socks off.”

He adds with a grin: “PSY is coming too, and I can’t wait to see everyone doing the horse dance. That will be something you must see.”

The venue will be announced today via www.futuremusicfestival.asia.
