Ed Sheeran Live In Kuala Lumpur Concert at KL Convention Centre 2015

Ed Sheeran Live In Kuala Lumpur Concert at KL Convention Centre 2015

Date: Monday 16 March 2015 at 8:30pm
Venue: KL Convention Centre

PR Worldwide and AEG Live are pleased to announce that two-time Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran will be performing at Hall 5, KL Convention Center on the 16th March 2015.

Masterfully blending soulful vocals with organic folk introspection and irresistible hip-hop hooks, Ed Sheeran has enjoyed a meteoric rise and become a global phenomenon.

Since releasing his critically acclaimed second album x in June this year, Ed Sheeran has continually proved why his new LP is one of the most important global releases of this year. Making history right from the start, x peaked at #1 on iTunes in 83 countries, hit the #1 spot in the official charts in 14 countries, and became the biggest-selling album of the year after just six weeks. x follows Ed’s 2011 critically-acclaimed UK #1 debut +. The album, which spawned the singles ‘The A Team’, ‘You Need Me, I Don’t Need You’, ‘Lego House’ and ‘Give Me Love’, has cemented him into music history. The songs for x came together whilst touring + and, in the same way as the latter was a snapshot of his life and relationship to-date, x charts his loves and life since. Only ‘One’, the perfect album opener and first song written for the record, looks back to that time and is the link between the two records. With ‘One’ under his belt, almost before he noticed he was writing, Ed had ten new songs and counting. The core element of all of these new songs is the intimacy and power of the live performance.

Says Sheeran: ”I can’t wait to tour this new record, it’s been a long time coming. Looking forward to touring in Asia for the first time!”

Metallica will rock Antarctica in Coke show

Metallica will rock Antarctica in Coke show

"After over 30 years as a band, we have been unbelievably fortunate to visit just about every corner of the earth . . . except for one," announced the band on its web site.

"That is all about to change as we are set travel to Antarctica, the only continent that Metallica has never played on until now!!"

The heavy metal band, known for such classics as "Trapped Under Ice," said it is partnering with Coca Cola Zero for a performance on Dec. 8 near a heliport at the Carlini Station in the South Pole. The base is located on King George Island, also known as Isla 25 de Mayo, and controlled by Argentina.

Coca Cola (KO, Fortune 500) and the band are inviting fans from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico to enter a contest via Twitter. A total of 10 winners will be chosen to take an eight-day cruise from Tierra del Fuego to Antarctica to attend the concert, which features the band's frontman James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich as well as Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo.

The band and Coca Cola did not explain why only five countries are covered by the promo.

December is the peak of summer in the Southern Hemisphere, so Metallica is playing during the warmest time of the year. However, anticipating some inclement weather at the frigid pole, they're planning to perform under a dome.

The band didn't respond to CNNMoney's inquiry as to whether they'll be playing "Trapped Under Ice."

POSTPONED: Shahrukh Khan & Friends "Temptation Reloaded" Live In Malaysia

Concert postponed

Well, regret to inform that the upcoming Datuk Shahrukh Khan & Friends "Temptation Reloaded" Live In Malaysia 2013 concert which was scheduled for 11th October 2013 has been regretfully postponed to another new date which will be announced later this month.

Konsert Sang Pencinta M.Nasir at Istana Budaya

The Sifu Of Music will be back at the National Theatre in June with a concert.

HIS is a name that needs no introduction. Datuk M Nasir is known for giving music lovers "pure gold" in his memorable songs, composed both for himself and his many proteges.

The multiple-award-winning music maestro from Singapore with close to 10 studio albums under his belt is the man behind timeless musical gems such as Sekuntum Mawar Merah (The Alleycats), Fantasia Bulan Madu (Search), Sejati (Wings), Sandarkan Pada Kenangan (Jamal Abdillah and Fauziah Ahmad Daud), and Aduh Saliha (Mawi).

His own hits include Mentera Semerah Padi, Phoenix Bangkit Dari Abu, Juwita Cinta Terindah, Tanya Sama Itu Hud Hud, Suatu Masa and Mustika.

From June 7-9, Nasir will be performing at Istana Budaya, Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur for Konsert Sang Pencinta, a showcase that promises to be out of the ordinary.

Sang Pencinta will see Nasir croon his popular tunes in a musical-style setting, with spellbinding special effects that emanate from the creative mind of his longtime collaborator, Bombay of event organiser Bombbay Worldwide.

Bombay, who has produced most of Nasir's past concerts, says he is utilising visual mapping to create magical images around the national theatre's stage and these are tailor-made for each of Nasir's 20-odd songs.

"Every song has an interesting story to tell, and each is very meaningful, with deep messages. I've created colourful graphics to accompany each of them so that fans can go on a 3D visual and musical adventure," he says.

Bombay says this is the first time he is producing a show for Nasir at the national theatre. He had previously produced shows for Ziana Zain, Search and Wings.

Bombbay Worldwide is co-organising the concert with co-event organisers Red On Black and Belbis.

Nasir says: "The concert will be two hours and while I'll be performing most of my popular songs, my focus is on those which nicely fit the Sang Pencinta (lover, romantic) theme which is all about love, spirituality and redemption."

He is delighted to work with Bombay, describing him as a highly creative producer.

Istana Budaya director-general Datuk Juhari Shaarani says it is great to have Nasir back at the national theatre as he is a legend with fans of all ages.

"To back him up, we have some of the best musicians around. There are string instrumentalists from the National Symphony Orchestra and gamelan players from the Malaysian Traditional Orchestra," he says.

"They are sure to make a difference as, like Nasir, they are committed to perfection in musicianship."

The concert, he adds, is assisted by music director Aznan Alias and string arranger Mohd Rafi Shafie. Bombay is the concert director.

Bombay says: "We are busy preparing for the concert right now. The performance of each song is meticulously crafted by my creative team, with feedback from Nasir. There's a storyboard for each one, so it's more like a series of musical scenes."

Nasir says there will not be any special guest artistes as the musicians supporting him are "as good as guest artistes".

The concert was announced at a ceremony in Istana Bambu Restaurant in Ulu Klang recently. It was attended by Nasir, Juhari, Bombay, Red On Black chief executive officer Solih Toha and Belbis representatives Datuk Asmawi Kassim and Afandy Alias.

Tickets to the 8.30pm concert are priced between RM65 and RM455. Call 03-4147 8600 or 2161 8134.
