With three years of the most brilliant stand-up comedy Kuala Lumpur has ever seen, Kings and Queen of Comedy Asia 2013 brings about another massive comedy extravaganza showcasing the best Asian stand-up comedians.
Danny Bhoy (SCO) - One of the most globally successful and prolific comics in the world today of Indian and Scottish descent, Danny’s unique brand of story-telling and razor sharp wit has been described as “effortlessly funny”. Apart from regular appearances on Canada’s ‘Just For Laughs’ galas, he has also performed TV spots on ‘The David Letterman Show’. Danny is fresh from his sold out solo tour of Australia and New Zealand.
Kumar (SIN) – A monarch of mirth who requires no introduction, Kumar is the reigning Queen of Lion City Comedy. She is a virtual icon known throughout the region, and will have you bursting your bra with laughter. The women will love it too.
Imran Yusuf (UK) – Renowned for his stinging, lyrical street-slang verbiage and super-high energy performance. Imran is fast and furious yet charmingly endearing with his own unique voice in the comedy world. He is also a regular on The Cutting Edge at The Comedy Store in London.
Sheng Wang (US) –A Taiwanese Texan who performs jokes based on personal experiences and observations and addresses common non-sense with honesty and ill logic He has also appeared on Comedy Central’s ‘Live at Gotham' and had his own half hour Comedy Central special aired in 2011.
Jonathan Atherton (AUS) – Singapore's very own Laugh Guru and founder of The Comedy Club Asia. An accomplished and well-traveled comedian, he speaks Malay, German, Thai, Swahili and more. Jonathan will be the host of this momentous comedy event.
