Tesco Ultimate Celebration Contest
Tesco Stores Sdn Bhd (Malaysia) is offering interesting prizes including holiday packages and rare outdoor adventures for its latest contest, Sambutan Tergempak.

Tesco Malaysia commercial director Jason Godley said the contest runs until Sept 1 and there will be six winners selected for every phase of the contest.

On the first phase (June 20 to July 14), three winners will get to experience tandem paragliding for six people each, while another three winners will receive a three-day, two-night vacation package to Legoland for four people each.

On the second phase (July 15 to Aug 4), three winners will get to experience a day flying a Cessna 172 aircraft for three people each, and another three winners will receive a three-day and two-night vacation package to Tioman Island for two people each.

On the third phase (Aug 5 to Sept 1), each of the three winners will get to experience white water rafting on the Selangor river in Kuala Kubu Bharu for eight people, while another three winners will receive a three-day and two-night holiday package to Redang Island for two people each.

Godley said the grand prize winner which will be chosen at the end of the contest period will be able to ask for anything he or she wishes for so long as the cost does not exceed RM30,000.

To participate in the contest, shoppers have to purchase three bottles of 1.5-litre Tesco brand carbonated soft drink in a single receipt.

The purchase receipt should be attached to the contest form where shoppers are required to describe their best moment of celebration.

"It can be as simple as celebrating the victory of your favourite football team in a match, travelling to exotic locations or attending a concert," said Tesco Malaysia marketing director Vivian Yap.

The contest was organised in conjunction with the launch of its re-branded carbonated soft drinks.

There are currently eight variants of the soft drinks including the newly introduced citrus flavour and two reformulated flavour, root beer and sarsi.

Godley said the prices of the carbonated drinks are 20 per cent cheaper compared to the leading brands in the market.

"We want to give our customers more choices of products with great quality and great prices," said Godley at the launch of the re-branded carbonated soft drinks.
