World Islamic Tourism Mart (WITM) 2013
The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) is organizing the 2nd Edition of the World Islamic Tourism Mart (WITM) 2013 from 4 – 8 Sept 2013 at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. WITM 2013 will occupy over 10,000sqm of exhibition space. MATTA has invited the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato Sri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak to officiate and deliver the Keynote Address at the WITM Conference.
WITM 2013 comprise of three (3) events in one (1) namely as the WITM Conference, WITM Travel Exchange and the WITM Travel Fair.
WITM Conference:
• 7th year of conference and expected about 350 delegates.
• One & half (1 ½) days conference held in Istana Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 4 & 5 September 2013.
• Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abd Razak has been invited to officiate and to be the Keynote Speaker.
• Other International Speakers and Panelists have been invited as well as renowned speakers from Malaysia.
WITM Travel Exchange:
• Held from 6 – 8 Sept 2013 in Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
• There are over 400 booths available for sellers to take up comprising of Malaysian and International from all sectors of the Tourism Industry.
• Buyers will be both Malaysian and International from the various tourism sectors and the target is to have 1,000 Quality Buyers who are owners, directors, top or senior management.
• Top management from the travel and tourism industry will network with Malaysian and other International industry bigwigs to expand & enhance their business in order to provide new products, new destinations and tour packages.
WITM Travel Fair:
• Held from 6 – 8 Sept 2013 in Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
• MATTA is well known for its very successful Travel Fairs and WITM 2013 will provide the participants an opportunity to sell to the consumers.
• Expected close to 20,000 visitors.
WITM 2013 has the support and endorsement of the Ministry of Tourism, Malaysia, Tourism Malaysia and Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC) Malaysia and definitely in time to come, will have the endorsement of many other key Malaysian and International organizations like UNWTO who had endorsed WITM 2012.

WITM is projected to enhance the unrealized potential of the Muslim Tourism sector.
