Established in 1977, SEGi Education Group has six campuses offering programmes across 20 fields of study and ranging from certificate to doctorate levels.

The group has more than 28,000 students at its campuses in the Klang Valley, Penang, Sarawak and, soon, Perak.

The programmes include medicine, optometry, dentistry, pharmacy, allied health sciences, business & accountancy, law, engineering, built environment, information technology, creative arts & design, hospitality, tourism, education, social sciences, nursing, mass communication and American Degree Programme.

Students can choose from a long list of twinning programmes with partners in UK, the US and Australia.

SEGi's consortium of global partners includes the University of Sheffield, University of Abertay Dundee, University of Greenwich, Teesside University, University of Sunderland and University of London from the UK; Upper Iowa University from the US; and University of Southern Queensland from Australia.

One activity carried out by student bodies is the annual International Cultural Night at SEGi University.

The performances features traditional Malay dance and Barathanatyam from Malaysia, Nigerian and Sudanese traditional dances, violin and guitar performances from Turkey, traditional Chinese singing and a dance from Kazakhstan.
